General Membership Meeting
This meeting is where people interested in Passive House can come to meet and discuss the standard. Most of the attendees are professionals working in the building industry: consultants, architects and builders, but all who are interested in Passive House are welcome.
Remote Attendance: You can also attend the General Membership Meeting remotely. We set up a GotoMeeting to allow people to attend the meeting from their homes or offices. This saves quite a bit of travel time and makes the, sometimes long, travel times a non-issue.
If you would like to attend virtually please sign up for our email list and you will receive an invitation for the GoToMeeting webinar of the General Meeting before the meeting happens.
Northern VT Building Science Group
Here interested people come together to discuss up-to-date building science practices and principles; present in-the-field problems and solutions; argue the merits of differing opinions; and learn from our peers. All the while making new contacts, having a beer, eating pizza, and relaxing with colleagues.
The time and date, and any special topic are listed on the homepage of this site.
Bring: Yourselves, your building science questions and a beer (or such, wine for the architects) to consume and share. We often order pizza and the like, too.
Who's invited: Building professionals - builders, architects, consultants, etc. who want to ask questions about building durability, materials, special problems, etc; design-build homeowners; developers; and other interested parties.
Groups being invited include: PHAUSVT, Building for Social Responsibility, AIA, Homebuilders and Renovators of Northern Vermont, VGBN, BPPA. If you can think of others please let us know.
We appear at numerous events relating to energy efficiency, high-performance building, environmental awareness & action, and renewable energy. We also create our own events: such as discussions and movie presentations in libraries and churches, and an annual symposium with vendors and professional presentations.
